MURRAY BRIDGE SHOW 2016
Judge Josh Smith, “Joshlee” Deloraine Tasmania, faced eight exhibitors when he judged the Illawarras at the Murray Bridge Show on September 24th, 2016. He also judged the Interbreed, the other three breed judges, and the 8-11 years Junior Handler Class.
“To start the day with the under 6-month-old calf, I noticed a trend that would continue throughout the day that the heifers & cows put before me were very high-quality animals. My Junior Champion was a very long and correct heifer with amazing balance and was correct throughout. My Intermediate Champion was an amazing young cow with an udder that was welded on. Senior Champion was a cow that just had everything: width, high, wide udder, correct teat placement, power, and strength. The group of 3 was a tremendous group of cows with balanced well, snug udders, and uniformity throughout, going on to win Interbreed Pen of Three Females”.
