Three exhibitors paraded 21 head before judge, Ron Pratten, at Beaudesert Show held Friday, September 4.
Congratulations to Roly and Sharyn Voss, Peter and Cheryl Ardrey and Scott Canning and the Hinrichs Family, who continue to turn up year after year to support their local show and put a quality showing of Illawarras in the public arena, a great effort from three of the most fun loving hobby farmers around.
Peter and Cheryl Ardrey of Cheralyn Stud, reigned supreme in the Junior and Intermediate sections. Two well known cow families from Cheralyn were named Champion and Reserve Champion Junior, Moira 42 and Minerva 19 respectively. In the Intermediates, Peter and Cheryl achieved success again, this time with some outside bloodlines. Champion Intermediate went to Riverwood Sapphire 6 recently acquired under the good old fashioned barter system from the Ledger family, with Reserve Champion going to Jondene Jinny 17 acquired from F S Johnston & Sons.
Roly and Sharyn Voss got their revenge in the seniors however with Mount Vista Tulip 10 named Champion Cow and the Reserve Championship going to Tara Bounce 4 purchased by Roly and Sharyn from the Henry Family at the 2013 Illawarra Impact Sale.
