The 2015 International Dairy Week judging has been finalised, with Laurie Chittick officiating. Terry Tidcombe no doubt shed a few more tears as he watched Wallumlands Sunstorm 8 take out Best Udder, Champion Cow, and Grand Champion Illawarra. Sunstorm was purchased by the partnership of Gordon, Bacon, and Govett from breeders Terry and Ursula Tidcombe and, in 2014, took all before her at the Shepparton Feature Show.
Reserve Champion Cow went to the Coburn Family with Winganna Empire Plum with Lemon Grove Buttercup 335 owned by D Ashe and the Nicholson Family, named Honourable Mention.
In the Intermediate Championship, Erin Ferguson's Lara Twist Glady was named Champion, with Llandovery JR Joan (Hayes Family) and Illinga Salute Vision (Coburn Family) named Reserve and Honourable Mention, respectively.
The Hayes Family's Llandovery Blush's Jinny repeated her Champion placing in the Youth Show, taking Champion Junior with Erin Ferguson again in the money with Lemon Grove Molly in the reserve position and Terry and Ursula Tidcombe's Wallumlands Dam Zarah 7 in Honourable Mention.
Congratulations to the Illawarra Youth Team, which was named Champion Team in the Youth Challenge competition. The team was made up of Taya Hayes, Catherine Bond, and Mikaela Thompson (leaders), Zoe Hayes, Claire, Emma Castles, Hannah Whatman (clipping), Cameron Yarnold, Maddie Strong, and Maya (Judging), placing first in Judging and second in leading and clipping. Congratulations all. Great effort.
