The All World Red Cow photographic competition has been completed with mixed results for Australia. New Zealand has won a championship for the first time, taking out the aged cow section. The US and UK won 2-3yrs in milk and the dry heifer respectively.
Australia's Glenbrook Venus 19 (sire Lemon Grove Bumper) owned and bred by Ian and Julie Mueller of Murray Bridge, SA won the 4-5yrs in milk. Photo below
Two Reserve Champions also came from Australia.
The Ledger Family's Riverwood Model 4 (sire Llandovery Jinny's Empire) was named the 2-3yrs in milk Reserve Champion. Bred by Steve Ledger of Carters Ridge, Qld, Riverwood Model 4 was recently sold at the Illawarra Impact Sale held at Toowoomba to Warren Gallagher, NSW. Photo below
Lemon Grove Honeymoon 15 (sire Lemon Grove Buttler) bred and owned by Laurie and Sandra Chittick of Tongala, Vic, was named Reserve Champion in the Aged Cow in milk section. Photo below.
