Darling Downs farmers, Chelmonte Farming and J P Bourke & Co of Myrtleholme fame, are showing confidence in the Queensland dairy industry with their expansion plans.
Noel and Fay Wieck along with son Grant and wife Kylie are the driving force behind Chelmonte Farming and are in the process of constructing a free stall barn and robotic milking infrastructure to handle their 300 milking herd.
Down Warwick way, the Bourke family are progressing well in the construction of their new rotary dairy which will better cope with their milking herd of 350.
