Don Norman has seen quite a few Royal Easter Shows but the 2012 Show will be one that he remembers for a long time.
Along with a number of other dairy breed legends, Don was recognised in a Parade of Champions for Excellence in Agriculture. After being sashed with a beautiful blue ribbon, Don was presented to the Governor of New South Wales, Professor Marie Bashir, AC, CVO.
Family and friends watched the presentation on the big screen and the crowd's acknowledgement of Don and all the other champions during the Grand Parade, before joining Don and Show President, Glenn Dudley for dinner.
Two days later, Don packed his bags, wheel chair and cattle on the truck to spend six days at the show with the show team. According to wife Robyn, there was no stopping him. Luckily for Don, niece Sue Frost was there to look after the show team while he was off catching up with friends and judging the opposition.
Congratulations Don.
