Tasmania's Branch Patron, Mr Bevan Poke, passed away Friday January 27th at his home in Ulverstone after a short illness, aged 82.
Bevan had been involved in Illawarras practically all his life. Along with his brother Bruce, as a teenager he ran the Myalladale Stud. He was a most sought after judge for a number of years and a very regular around the ringside at nearly every dairy show in Tasmania plus attending Dairy Week in recent years.
His son Richard and grandson Adam have both served as Secretary of the Tasmanian Branch, while his nephew Max Austin is a former Federal President.
The funeral will be held at the Anglican church Ulverstone on Tuesday January 31st at 11am.
