The New South Wales Red On-Farm Challenge was held recently with judges Stuart Lockhart (Ayrshire) and Daniel Cochrane covering an area from Bega to Casino over five days, viewing 140 exhibits on 22 farms.

Each breeder was restricted to a maximum of 12 cows with no rules placed on cattle colour however exhibits had to be sired by a red bull registered with the ARDB, Ayrshire or Illawarra societies.

Overall Champion went to Illawarra breeders Tom and Kyleigh Cochrane with Kangawarra Pretty 2612.

Beaulands Aks Birdie 8 owned by Ron and Brenda Graham was awarded Reserve Champion and Kangawarra Gladys 2693 also owned by Tom and Kyleigh Cochrane, Honourable Mention.
