The Lismore Dairy Spectacular and the Illawarra & Southern Branch Spring Fair were both held this week with approximately 40 and 50 respectively being exhibited.
Lismore saw Ian Mueller (Glenbrook, SA) officiating and Tony Hayes (Llandovery, Vic) at the Spring Fair.
Congratulations to the Lester Family of Warwick now exhibiting as Eight Mile Agri Trust, on winning Senior Champion Cow and Supreme Illawarra exhibit at Lismore with St Andrews Topsy 131. St Andrews hasn’t been a regular in the show ring for some time. Let’s hope we see more of them.
Reserve Senior Champion went to Warren Gallagher with Moyola Madam 8 with JP Bourke & Co taking out honourable mention with Myrtleholme Ava 2.
In other results at Lismore, the Henry Family won Juvenile Champion and Honourable Mention Juvenile with Tara Panda 6 and Tara Diamond 9 respectively. Splitting these two for Reserve Juvenile was Allen & Denise Whatman’s Allen Vale Blossom 16.
In the Junior Championship, J P Bourke & Co took the major ribbon with Myrtleholme Rose 212, followed by the Whatmans in reserve position with Allen Vale Marlene 17 and Honourable Mention Moyola Robin exhibited by Warren Gallagher.
At the Spring Fair held at Berry, NSW, it was a battle of the Cochranes for the senior champion broad ribbon with Tom and Kylie Cochrane having the honour of Senior Champion and Best Udder with Kangawarra Jewel 2352. Tim and Natalie Cochrane’s Kangawarra Samantha 3197 took Reserve Senior Champion.
Tom and Kylie also won Champion Heifer with Kangawarra Jewel 2369 with Jessica Achen’s Eagle Park Monarch Melba 3527 taking the Reserve.
