The honour of judging the Illawarra Dairy Section of the 50th Mt Pleasant Show went to South Australian Branch Life Member and long time breeder and supporter of Illawarras, Mr Ken Follett. A high quality display of cattle was put before him by six exhibitors.
J C Altmann & son (Blackwood Park) took out three of the championships plus Most Successful Exhibitor. Blackwood Park Favourite 10 won Senior Champion Cow with Blackwood Park Suzie 56 being named Reserve Champion. The Junior Championship went to another Blackwood Park animal, Thelma 77 with Ian and Julie Mueller’s Glenbrook Sunglow 24 being award Reserve Champion Junior.
Blackwood Park Favourite 10 was also awarded Supreme Champion Illawarra Female. Congratulations to the Altmann family.
