J P Bourke & Co (Myrtleholme, Gladfield) were no April Fools in taking out Champion and Reserve Champion Cow in today’s (Friday, April 1, 2011) Toowoomba Royal Show judging.

Judge, Paul Ringland (View Mount, Verona, NSW)  placed Myrtleholme Ailsa 14 as Champion Illawarra Cow with Myrtleholme May 12 as Reserve Champion.  Riverwood Lucy 2 (Ledger Family, Carters Ridge) was named Honourable Mention.

Myrtleholme Ailsa 14 also won the Best Udder and Attachment class.

Clarefield Pauline Marvel (The Phillips Family, Toowoomba) was named Champion Heifer with the Ledger Family’s Riverwood Betsy 33 taking out Reserve and also Best Udder and Attachment.

F S Johnston & Sons’ Jondene Buttercup 85 won Champion Juvenile with the Reserve Championship going to Riverwood Model 4 (Ledger Family).
