Queensland again brought home the bacon from the Bangalow Dairy Spectacular held on Friday, 11th and Saturday, 12th of September 2009 at the Bangalow Showgrounds.
New exhibitors to the showring, JP Bourke & Co under the guidance of Shane Bourke, took out Champion Senior Cow as well as Honourable Mention. Judge Damen Phillips nominated Myrtleholme Moonlight 9 as his Senior Champion and Myrtleholme Charity 13 as Honourable Mention.
Splitting the two Myrtleholme exhibits was F S Johnston & Sons’ Jondene Dainty 97 who in addition to Reserve Champion was also adjudged Best Udder & Attachment over 3 yrs.
New South Wales took the honours in the Junior classes with Junior Champion Female going to Peter Rosten of NSW with Macleay Rubens Flowergirl. David Moxey’s Clarefield Weapon Primrose 2714 was Reserve Junior Champion with Queensland’s Mike and Glenda Henry’s Oakey Vale Fuchsia 211 being named Honourable Mention.
Juvenile Champion Heifer also went to NSW’s Warren Gallagher’s Moyola Blossom 52. Allen and Denise Whatman won Reserve Champion with Allen Vale Blossom 14. Honourable Mention went to Riverwood Florrie exhibited by the Ledger Family.
